It's tamarillo season here at Harvest Experience. How gorgeous do these little red beauties look, like little red lanterns. Tamarillo’s or tree tomatoes as they are also known are a member of the nightshade family. They can be eaten fresh, cut in half to expose and eat the beautiful black seed pulp. They also have many uses in cooking. Today I used some in a tamarillo loaf. Many more to harvest over the next few weeks so stay tuned for more tamarillo goodies.
